We are very excited to have closed on our property. There are lots of volunteer opportunities opening up.
We anticipate these efforts to change rapidly as we complete items on the list and identify new needs, so please stay tuned. Please see below for contact information about volunteering.

We understand there is great interest in supporting our needs, we ask that you only volunteer for events that you are qualified for and physically able to complete. Your safety is our primary concern. For anyone that cannot physically volunteer but still want to help with our efforts to get our site operational, we humbly ask for your continued support to pay for necessary building materials. We are currently accepting gift card donations from Home Depot, Lowe's and Ace. Every dollar we save on building materials goes right back to directly supporting the residents of our ministry. Current Help Needed - Now through end of year: 

Re-Shingling Roof of Residence 1: Removal and replacement of tar shingles and underlayment, some wood repair and facia replacement.
Volunteers required (5-6)

Window Replacement-Residence 1: Remove old window, replace with larger window per code requirements. *Requires licensed contractor
Volunteers required (1-2)

Install wood panel flooring in 1 bedroom: Carpet already removed, replace with wood panel flooring and trim. Effort will begin as soon as volunteer team is identified.
Volunteers required (1-3)

Paint and install 500ft of privacy fencing: Installation of Prefabricated wood privacy fence. Fence will need to be painted and installed. May require lifting of up to 80lbs. Effort will begin as soon as volunteer team is identified.

Furniture Moving: We have several facilities and need to consolidate the furniture we are going to keep and furniture we are going to sell. Furniture we are not going to keep needs to be relocated to one of the several storage buildings we have on the property. May require lifting of items in excess of 100lbs. Effort will begin as soon as volunteer team is identified.

Volunteer Opportunities in January 2024:

Residence 1 - Deep Clean: We will need a crew to come in and deep clean the residence in anticipation of moving residents in. This will be interior and exterior cleaning. All cleaning materials will be provided. Effort currently being scheduled for the 2nd week in January but may change with status of other required renovations to residence 1. More details to follow.
Volunteers needed (5-10)
Current Open Positions = 7

Yard work: Everything from mowing waist high weeds, removal of yard waste and debris, trimming tree branches, installation of railroad ties for barriers, rebuilding a path over a creek bed, repairing downed barbed wire fence etc. This is a 90-acre property and requires a lot of yard maintenance. We will likely be coordinating multiple large groups for this effort throughout Jan-Feb.
Volunteers needed (20-30)
Current Open Positions = 27

Equine Facility Restoration: Removal of old debris, clean out turn out area, Move Round Pen, Replacement of gates, rebuilding of gates, working ground in turn out area, installation of feeders and waterers, and general maintenance and upkeep of the barn/tack area. This may require lifting up to 80lbs.

Dining Facility - Deep Clean: We will need a crew to come in and deep clean the dining facility. (interior and exterior cleaning) All cleaning materials will be provided.

Security System Install: Need skilled IT professional that can integrate multiple camera systems into a centralized control system. Installation and account set up of any required software systems.
